Why is YouTube TV app not available on Amazon Fire TV Store?
Google being Google, pulled out its YouTube TV app recently from the Amazon App Store because Amazon is unwilling to list its products on its e-commerce website. This rivalry between tech giants may sound childish at best but nothing new. Google never bothered to create an official YouTube app for Windows Mobile OS, nor one is available on the Windows 10 Store for PC.
Similar is the case with Amazon Fire TV Stick and YouTube TV app. However, at the end of the day, the only losers here are the customers who want Amazon Fire TV Stick and YouTube TV app to streaming YouTube videos on the TV.
Download YouTube TV App for Amazon Fire TV Stick
Now that you know what made Google pull its official YouTube TV app from the Amazon app store, here is how to download the app for Amazon Fire TV stick.
To do this, we will be using a third-party app called ES File Explorer. We also had used ES File Explorer to install Kodi on Amazon Fire TV. You can also use YouTube on Amazon Fire TV using Kodi. But, this article deals with the direct way to install YouTube TV app on your Fire TV Stick. So, let’s begin.
Turn on Unknown Sources in Amazon Fire TV settings. This setting is in place to prevent installation from unknown third-party sources. But, you can enable and install APK files if you know the app developer is a trusted source.
So, launch Amazon Fire TV.
Go to Settings > Device.
Click on Developer Options > Apps from Unknown Sources.
Next, we need to download ES File Explorer and YouTube TV APK.
Open Amazon App Store and search for ES File Explorer.
Open the app and install it.
On your Android Phone, open Google Play Store app and download
ES File Explorer from here http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_IN.
Once you have ES File Explorer installed on both the devices, you
need to download YouTube TV APK on your phone and then move it to Amazon Fire TV Stick through ES File Explorer.

Now that you have the YouTube TV APK on your phone, you need to move it to Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Make sure your TV and phone are connected to the same WiFi network.
Launch ES File Explorer app on TV and keep it open.
On your Android phone, open ES File Explorer.
Open download folder and long press on YouTube APK to select it.
Tap the three-dots Menu at the bottom and select Send.
On your TV, a confirmation message will appear. Select OK to begin the transfer of APK.
On your TV, locate the transferred APK file in Local > Home > share.
Tap on YouTube TV APK and then tap Install.
That’s it. YouTube TV is now installed on your Amazon Fire TV Stick.
You can access the app from the Fire TV screen like any other app on your TV.
In case the YouTube TV app is not available on the app screen, here is how to access it.
Go to Settings and select Application.
Select Installed apps and then click on the YouTube app to launch it.
What You Can Do with YouTube TV App
Having the convenience to stream YouTube videos on TV is one thing, but the YouTube TV app allows to do more. You can cast videos from Your Android YouTube app onto your Amazon Fire TV enabled TV screen.
The YouTube web version on Android TVs is as poor as it can get. But, with a dedicated YouTube TV app you can do all that you need without having to look around for workarounds.
We can only hope that Amazon and YouTube resolve the differences and not make end user suffer in their tech war. Google is also at war with Epic Games.
